George Larson’s involvement with the Calgary commercial real estate market began in 1986 when he joined Barclay Street Real Estate’s predecessor as the General Sales Manager. Prior to joining the company George worked in banking and commercial lending services for 22 years, which included directing a financial institution as a General Manager.

In 1991, George took on the responsibilities of a Senior Negotiator, which he continues to carry out today. He was also a member of the partnership group that acquired the brokerage from a public company in 2001. As a senior investment sales associate of the firm, George works closely with the Barclay Street Real Estate investment sales team to ensure maximum added value is provided to his clients. In his career, George has sold over $500 million in real estate properties.

George’s areas of specialization have been the mid-size retail and office sectors in Calgary and Edmonton with properties in an approximate range of $5 to $25 Million. He travels monthly to major Canadian cities to meet clients and attends ICSC conferences and other real estate forums. In his career, he has successfully represented, as exclusive agent, many of Canada’s leading private and institutional investors in their acquisition and divestiture activity in the Alberta market.

As an avid family man, George enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren whenever he can and takes great satisfaction in their growth towards productive members of society.

With over 30 years of commercial real estate experience, Richard Lewis offers his clients expert advice and a practical perspective on their real estate investments.

After working in hospitality management for 5 years, Richard started his commercial real estate career with Torode Realty, Barclay Street’s predecessor in 1989. Since then, Richard and has become an invaluable member to the Investment Sales team and a strong mentor to a number of newer team members.

As a Calgary-born and raised native, Richard has gained a solid understanding of the Calgary market and delivers on the high service standards Albertans have become known for. Richard has worked with investors of all sizes in a variety of industries with a focus on inner city properties. In his career, Richard has helped many of his clients become pioneer investors in Calgary areas that are now the most sought-after parts of city such as Stephen’s Avenue and Inglewood.

In his spare time, Richard tackles residential and commercial renovation projects and enjoys a variety of alpine activities and traveling throughout Canada.

Sarah Lisson joined Barclay Street Real Estate in 2012 as the Office Manager and Executive Assistant to David Wallach, the company’s CEO. With over 10 years of client relation experience and extensive management experience, Sarah manages the office’s day-to-day operations and keeps David organized so he can focus on the company and its clients. When not working, Sarah’s daughter keeps her busy but she also enjoys attending the theatre and baking or cooking in her spare time.

Iris Matta is a dedicated professional with over a decade of experience in the dynamic field of supply chain management, spanning industries in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore. Her expertise is complemented by a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Philippines. Currently, she adeptly balances her studies and a part-time role as an Accounting Assistant at Barclay Street Real Estate, showcasing exceptional multitasking and time management skills.

With a passion for continuous learning, Iris is pursuing a Diploma in Business Administration at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Her extensive industry experience across multiple Southeast Asian markets has equipped her with a profound understanding of supply chain logistics, procurement strategies, and operational efficiencies.

Iris is particularly passionate about accounting, constantly delving into its complexities to enhance her skill set. Known for her strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities, she excels in collaborative environments, fostering positive work dynamics. Murray brings over 35 years experience to his clients specializing in commercial leasing, sales, acquisitions and land development in Alberta. He represents a wide range of national and regional Owners, Purchasers, and Tenants helping them to achieve their objectives. Born and raised in Edmonton Murray is a U of A graduate and former professional athlete. Murray and his wife Trish enjoy the sports activities of their two children and family time at their cottage.

Cherrymae (Cherry) started her position as a Property Management Accountant at Barclay Street in September 2021. Before joining Barclay, she gained significant experience in property management accounting across various companies.
Transitioning to Barclay Street brought a sense of familiarity, considering Cherrymae's established career in property management accounting in Canada. While pursuing further education at SAIT, she discovered the invaluable contribution of her prior accounting experiences to her current role.
Cherrymae deeply values her role as a property management accountant, finding fulfillment in aligning her passion with her professional responsibilities. She eagerly anticipates expanding her knowledge within the property management industry during her tenure at Barclay Street.

With 25 years of experience, Tamara Nowacki has become the financial backbone of Barclay Street Real Estate as the Corporate Controller. After emigrating from Poland in 1986, Tamara joined Barclay Street’s predecessor and has assisted the company through many financial ventures and changes in ownership.

Tamara holds a Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation and Payroll Manager Certification. As head of Barclay Street’s accounting department, Tamara diligently ensures all financial activities and transactions run efficiently, adhere to applicable laws and are handled in a timely manner.

Tamara’s diligent nature extends beyond work into her passion for Tae-kwon-do, where she has received her 1st Dan Black belt. She also enjoys downhill skiing and photography.
