After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of New Brunswick, Ian entered the commercial real estate industry and has gained an array of experience in leasing, sales, and property management. Ian’s history with Barclay Street dates back to the company’s predecessor having joined in 1984.
With extensive experience in both tenant and landlord representation, Ian has gained a full understanding of the leasing process so he can best represent his client’s interests and negotiate diligently for an optimal outcome.
Ian has earned a solid reputation among clients, landlords, competitors and industry stakeholders that is built on his high ethical standards, trustworthy demeanour and unwavering client support. Outside of the real estate industry, Ian has been an active member in his community through his support of local hockey and soccer teams as coach and mentor.
Myles is a Retail Leasing Professional at Barclay Street, joining the team in 2021. As a licensed Associate, Myles offers his services to landlords, tenants and local and national retailers throughout Calgary and southern Alberta. After spending the last two plus decades working on both the production side of oil & gas as well as the operations side of the hospitality sector, he brings a unique perspective, having success as an operational manager in several fields, including various retail driven settings.
Working and living in the heart of Calgary’s downtown retail and business sector for well over a decade, he loves our urban centre. Whether he is attending Calgary Flames games, supporting local small businesses in the neighbourhood, or while volunteering with Feed the Hungry, Myles is proud to call Calgary home. He looks forward to bringing that positive energy and attitude to our retail team as well as and most importantly, to all his future clients.
Aline is an Associate with the Edmonton Retail Team at Barclay Street. She received her education at the University of Alberta School of Business, completing her undergraduate degree in Economics and Law, and holds a Certificate in Real Estate studies. She was a member of the winning team for the 2019 NAIOP Battle of Alberta Real Estate Challenge. During her time in university, Aline also worked in retail banking.
Her passion for retail was formulated with her involvement in her family’s specialty health food store in Stony Plain – Homegrown Foods. The locally owned business was founded 25 years ago and continues to expand.
Aline is actively engaging in the communities of Stony Plain and Spruce Grove with organizations like Alberta Community and Co-operative Association (ACCA) and Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Andrew is a Commercial Real Estate Professional, serving Southern and Central Alberta. A graduate of the University of Calgary’s Commercial Real Estate Development Program, Andrew also holds his Property Management, Commercial Real Estate, and Residential Real Estate designations from the Real Estate Council of Alberta.
With over 10 years of experience managing some of Calgary’s most iconic restaurants, Andrew brings an established understanding of what successful retail looks like, and how to achieve it.
As a licensed Associate of Barclay Street since 2019, Andrew works with developers, landlords, and local and national retailers throughout Central and Southern Alberta. In 2020, Andrew was the recipient of a CoStar’s Power Broker Award for notable sized retail transactions. He continues to serve his clients by providing market expertise and professionalism, while keeping his commitment to putting his client’s needs first.
Andrew loves traveling to new places, and is checking off a new country visited every year. His weakness is good coffee, and better tequila.
Jeff, who joined Barclay Street in November of 2014 has over 25 years of building operations experience starting in 1989 as a maintenance personnel, by 1991 Jeff obtained his Building Operator "A" Certification. In 2012 Jeff was Certified as a SMA, Systems Maintenance Administrator through BOMI. Jeff has had the privilege to work with a few established management companies both big and small. During this time he has developed an extensive and in-depth knowledge relating to industrial, retail, residential and commercial properties throughout the Calgary area. In Jeff's spare time he enjoys the solitude of his lake side cabin in the St. Paul area.
David’s career started over 35 years ago in Israel where he owned a successful insurance brokerage and was President and GM of his favorite professional basketball team. However, David saw bigger opportunities in his future when he, his wife and three children immigrated to Canada in 1999.
In 2000, David joined Torode Real Estate and began his career in Canadian commercial real estate. He was later invited to join a group of senior negotiators who bought Torode real estate brokerage in 2001. In 2003, David assumed the leadership role of President, and in 2004 the brokerage was rebranded under the name Barclay Street Real Estate.
In a few short years, David has made strides in growing Barclay Street locally and internationally. In 2007, David added Property Management to Barclay Street’s portfolio of services and the division has grown dramatically in the last few years with properties throughout Alberta, managing today about 5 million Sq. Ft.
To expand Barclay Street’s national and global reach, David formed a partnership in 2011 with TCN Worldwide, a real estate services organization that serves more than 200 markets globally. As a member of TCN Worldwide, Barclay Street has the ability to service their customers on a local and international level through a network of over 1200 commercial real estate firms. Between 2012 and 2019, David served as a board member with TCN Worldwide, bringing his commercial real estate knowledge to the international stage. After a short break, he re-joined TCN Worldwide as a board member in September 2022.
In April 2013, David received his CCIM - Certified Commercial Investment Member designation.
In June 2014, David launched a new venture, Triumph Real Estate Investment Fund. A private REIT focused on acquiring revenue producing properties in defined markets both in Canada and the U.S.A. David is founder and director and is responsible for all real estate matters of the Fund as well as involved in raising funds for Triumph. In mid 2019, David launched Triumph Real Estate Investment Fund II.
From early 2016 to the end of 2020, David co-chaired the Calgary Economic Development Real Estate Advisory Committee. From March 2017 to March 2019 David hosted a weekly business talk show on voiceamerica.com. Currently, David co-hosts a weekly business talk show with Tara McCool on 770 CHQR Radio. David was featured in "Desire, Discipline & Determination" - a business book published by Lessons from Network.

In 2008, Trevor Whalen joined Barclay Street and brings over 10 years residential and commercial experience in maintenance/ building operator capacity.
As the Maintenance Manager of Commercial Properties, he is responsible for the upkeep and repair of a number of suburban office and retail properties in the Calgary area.Trevor graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and holds a 5th class Power Engineer's Certificate.
A native of Michigan and Minnesota, Theresa moved to Canada in September 2001 and has been in the Real Estate industry since 1993. Her experience is in office, retail, industrial, residential (condos, retirement homes and rentals) and property development which 8 years were spent in the USA and 18 years in Canada. She is skilled in Asset Management, lease negotiations, property management, acquisitions, dispositions and client services. She has market knowledge of Alberta and British Columbia. Her focus at Barclay Street is team building, client services, company growth and instituting process and procedures. Theresa was also a Director on the Canadian Federation of Apartments Association Board and a past Director and Vice-President of the Calgary Apartment Association (2006 through 2009), where she helped successfully lobby for no rent controls to be implemented in Alberta.
