Doug Grinde began his commercial real estate career with Barclay Street Real Estate 20 years ago when he graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Since joining the company, Doug has become an invaluable asset working closely with the Calgary team and is now heading up the Edmonton office as the Vice President for the region.
With a farming background in rural Alberta, Doug knows what it means to work hard and treat people with integrity - his clients are no exception. Although his career started in Calgary, Doug found a niche for himself in Edmonton where his broad experience has helped reposition Barclay Street in the greater Edmonton market.
Additionally, as a senior sales advisor, Doug works closely with clients through the Alberta corridor and provides them with meaningful solutions while offering honest, knowledgeable advice. His knowledge comes from years of diverse transactions including new development projects, complex sale transactions and large leasing assignments.
Kris joined Barclay Street in the spring of 2013 as an Associate for the Downtown Leasing team, became Associate Vice President in 2019, Vice President in 2020 and Executive Vice President in 2023.
Kris immigrated to Canada in 2004 from Shanghai, China. Kris has been gaining experience in various aspects of the real estate business to best guide and advise clients since 2007. He was engaged in operating a real estate consortium which specialized in property acquisition and sales. Kris was partnered with a team of investors to purchase properties for the purpose of improving and reselling them at a profit, and maximize cash flow rentals.
Real estate Investing is Kris's passion. Kris endeavours to provide his clients with meaningful solutions to their problems by developing a thorough understanding of their needs.
Outside of work, Kris enjoys his family time with his wife and son, regular boxing training, hiking during the summer and winter sports during the winter.
Murray specializes in Beltline and Suburban office leasing in Calgary, Alberta, with over 7 years experience in the industry. Murray began his real estate career with Barclay Street Real Estate and then continuing his career with a national brokerage. During this time, Murray honed his negotiating skills, became an expert in the market and built strong relationships with many local and international clients. Murray was awarded as the highest performing first year associate after successful closing 38 lease and sale transactions in his first year with the national brokerage.
Murray returned to Barclay Street in 2022 and looks to continue to provide top quality services in facilitating lease negotiations for both institutional/local landlords and tenants.

Murray is a proud born and raised Calgarian and enjoys his spare time outdoors, skiing, golfing and camping with his son.
Allan Jones joined Barclay Street Real predecessor, Torode Realty, in 1987 after graduating from the University of Calgary with a degree in Economics. He became an original partner in February 2001 when Torode was sold to Barclay Street.
Allan specializes in downtown office leasing and has represented tenants/subtenants and landlords/sublandlords in over 2.8 million square feet of leasing transactions.
Although Allan deals with numerous large tenants in the marketplace, his specialty over the past 30 years is an Exclusive Listing Agent. He has listed dozens of downtown buildings and sublease assignments over the years with tremendous success. Allan has never lost a listing due to non-performance.
In his spare time, Allan enjoys spending time with his family and travelling. As an avid sports fan, Allan plays hockey in the winter and golf in the summer.
Nicky joined Barclay Street in the spring of 2021 and assists the Suburban, Beltline, and Downtown Office Leasing teams in the creation of marketing material, legal documentation, research, and listing database management.
Nicky comes with an intensive Insurance background working as a licensed Broker and Claims Adjuster until 5 years ago where she transitioned to an Administration position with a major agricultural company.
On her spare time Nicky spends her time with her husband and two kids where they enjoy the comforts of their lake community.
George Larson’s involvement with the Calgary commercial real estate market began in 1986 when he joined Barclay Street Real Estate’s predecessor as the General Sales Manager. Prior to joining the company George worked in banking and commercial lending services for 22 years, which included directing a financial institution as a General Manager.
In 1991, George took on the responsibilities of a Senior Negotiator, which he continues to carry out today. He was also a member of the partnership group that acquired the brokerage from a public company in 2001. As a senior investment sales associate of the firm, George works closely with the Barclay Street Real Estate investment sales team to ensure maximum added value is provided to his clients. In his career, George has sold over $500 million in real estate properties.
George’s areas of specialization have been the mid-size retail and office sectors in Calgary and Edmonton with properties in an approximate range of $5 to $25 Million. He travels monthly to major Canadian cities to meet clients and attends ICSC conferences and other real estate forums. In his career, he has successfully represented, as exclusive agent, many of Canada’s leading private and institutional investors in their acquisition and divestiture activity in the Alberta market.
As an avid family man, George enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren whenever he can and takes great satisfaction in their growth towards productive members of society.
