Jeff, who joined Barclay Street in November of 2014 has over 25 years of building operations experience starting in 1989 as a maintenance personal, by 1991 Jeff obtained his Building Operator "A" Certification. In 2012 Jeff was Certified as a SMA, Systems Maintenance Administrator through BOMI. Jeff has had the privilege to work with a few established management companies both big and small. During this time he has developed an extensive and in-depth knowledge relating to industrial, retail, residential and commercial properties throughout the Calgary area. In Jeff's spare time he enjoys the solitude of his lake side cabin in the St. Paul area.
Jolene began her career in industrial real estate in 2008 when she joined Jon Mook’s team as his Executive Assistant. While working in this EA capacity she quickly realized her passion for capturing and telling the story that came with every client along with an aptitude for graphic design and marketing. Jolene moved into the role of Marketing Coordinator for the industrial division after completing her graphic design certification at the University of Calgary.
Combining her corporate design experience and focus on industrial real estate, she meticulously crafts unique, custom design styles for client properties that are polished, professional, and align with the Barclay Street brand. Jolene uses her extensive, specialized industry experience to create marketing campaigns tailored to each property listed, and ensures maximum exposure to the market every time.
David’s career started over 30 years ago in Israel where he owned a successful insurance brokerage company and was President and GM of his favorite professional basketball team. However, David saw bigger opportunities in his future when he, his wife and three children immigrated to Canada in 1999.
In 2000, David joined Torode Real Estate and began his career in Canadian commercial real estate. He was later invited to join a group of senior negotiators who bought Torode real estate brokerage in 2001. In 2003, David assumed the leadership role of President, and in 2004 the brokerage was rebranded under the name Barclay Street Real Estate.
In a few short years, David has made strides in growing Barclay Street locally and internationally. In 2007, David added Property Management to Barclay Street’s portfolio of services and the division has grown dramatically in the last few years with properties throughout Alberta, managing today over 4.5 million Sq. Ft.
To expand Barclay’s national and global reach, David formed a partnership in 2011 with TCN Worldwide, a real estate services organization that serves more than 200 markets globally. As a member of TCN Worldwide, Barclay Street has the ability to service their customers on a local and international level through a network of over 1200 commercial real estate firms. Since 2012, David brings his commercial real estate knowledge to the international stage as a board member on the TCN Worldwide Board.
In April 2013, David received his CCIM - Certified Commercial Investment Member designation.
In June 2014, David launched a new venture, Triumph Real Estate Investment Fund. A private REIT focused on acquiring revenue producing properties in defined markets both in Canada and the U.S.A. David is founder and director and is responsible for all real estate matters of the Fund as well as involved in raising funds for Triumph.
Since early 2016, David has co-chaired the Calgary Economic Development Real Estate Advisory Committee.
With family-centric ideals, David ensures Barclay Street employees and clients feel like they are dealing with family, not just coworkers or a commercial real estate broker.
In 2008, Trevor Whalen joined Barclay Street and brings over 10 years residential and commercial experience in maintenance/ building operator capacity.
As the Maintenance Manager of Commercial Properties, he is responsible for the upkeep and repair of a number of suburban office and retail properties in the Calgary area.Trevor graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and holds a 5th class Power Engineer's Certificate.
A native of Michigan and Minnesota, Theresa moved to Canada in September 2001 and has been in the Real Estate industry since 1993. Her experience is in office, retail, industrial, residential (condos, retirement homes and rentals) and property development which 8 years were spent in the USA and 18 years in Canada. She is skilled in Asset Management, lease negotiations, property management, acquisitions, dispositions and client services. She has market knowledge of Alberta and British Columbia. Her focus at Barclay Street is team building, client services, company growth and instituting process and procedures. Theresa was also a Director on the Canadian Federation of Apartments Association Board and a past Director and Vice-President of the Calgary Apartment Association (2006 through 2009), where she helped successfully lobby for no rent controls to be implemented in Alberta.
Alberta has boomed and busted many times and through the ups and downs, Barclay Street has been there every step of the way. As clients’ needs evolve, so does Barclay Street Real Estate.
