As Vice President of the Property Management Division and with almost 30 years of property management experience, Shirley offers her clients and tenants a high level of expertise and care.
Since starting her real estate career in 1990, Shirley has worked exclusively in property management and has acquired extensive knowledge in all aspects of the industry. Shirley has managed a large variety of properties over the years, including various sizes of retail, office, industrial, and commercial condominiums. Some of her current clients have been with her for over 30 years.
Shirley is a native Calgarian and in her spare time she enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, and is an avid Calgary Stampeders fan.
Natasha has joined the Barclay Street Real Estate Ltd. as a Property Accountant in July of 2016.Natasha’s prior long professional journey involved different finance and accounting companies in different countries: Moldova, Russia and Israel. She immigrated to Canada with her family in October 1998. The first eight years she worked in public accounting companies where she acquired invaluable experience in Canadian accounting and taxation. Through this experience she built strong skills and solid foundation that is required to work with small businesses. Natasha’s cumulative accounting experience in Canada is over 20 years.
Natasha earned 2 bachelor degrees in Finances/Economics and in Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Moldova. Her education was recognized in both Israel and Canada. Since then she has completed numerous accounting related programs/courses in Israel (graduated as an accountant from H.I.S.G College -Tel Aviv) and Canada (SAIT).
In her spare time Natasha enjoys spending time with her family and her pets. She loves traveling and has a passion for arts: literature, music, painting and theatre.

Since joining Barclay Street in 2018 and obtaining her commercial real estate license in 2019, Emily has quickly established herself as a skilled and reliable real estate professional who has experience in industrial sales, leasing, subleasing, and land sales.
Her clients have sought her advice because of her thoroughness in the due diligence process, as well as her ethics and integrity; she can provide precise and current market information while offering a realistic opinion on what clients can expect to achieve with respect to their real estate goals.
While completing her Bachelor of Commerce degree, she completed two cooperative work terms with Barclay Street, which helped her to identify a strong desire for working in the commercial real estate industry. She joined Jon Mook’s team as she enjoys the dynamic nature of the industry and working with a strong, knowledgeable team that operates on integrity.
Doug Grinde began his commercial real estate career with Barclay Street Real Estate 20 years ago when he graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Since joining the company, Doug has become an invaluable asset working closely with the Calgary team and is now heading up the Edmonton office as the Vice President for the region.
With a farming background in rural Alberta, Doug knows what it means to work hard and treat people with integrity - his clients are no exception. Although his career started in Calgary, Doug found a niche for himself in Edmonton where his broad experience has helped reposition Barclay Street in the greater Edmonton market.
Additionally, as a senior sales advisor, Doug works closely with clients through the Alberta corridor and provides them with meaningful solutions while offering honest, knowledgeable advice. His knowledge comes from years of diverse transactions including new development projects, complex sale transactions and large leasing assignments.
February 2015, Cassandra joined the Barclay Street Team in the capacity of Administrative Assistant. Her primary focus in database management and broker support encouraged her transition to the Suburban and Beltline Office Leasing Team.
Cassandra received her Commerical Real Estate license and became Leasing Associate in 2019. With a BBA in Marketing and General Management and a minor in Financial Services, Cassandra brings a breadth of perspective and outside-the-box thinking to the team. As a Leasing Associate, Cassandra’s primary efforts are creating a branding and marketing strategy for her team, providing support in documentation execution and focusing on Landlord representation.
With a strong business analysis background and more than 19 years in commercial real estate, Dan offers a full-service solution for his clients to meet all their real estate needs. With a client-centered approach Dan has become a recognized expert in the commercial real estate industry and has been featured in many media pieces for his knowledge and understanding of the local market.
After graduating in 1993 from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance, Dan worked in managerial positions in commercial lending at HSBC Bank of Canada in Calgary, Kingston and Toronto. Dan decided he could offer a greater value in business by switching to commercial real estate market and joined the Barclay Street team in 2001. In 2005 Dan was invited to become a partner at Barclay Street and has since enjoyed an active role in the company.
Dan has leased over 4 million square feet and sold over $200 million in real estate sales in over 1,000 transactions representing both tenant and landlords in many complex situations. With the unique blend of commercial lending experience and real estate assignments, Dan offers his client’s a unique perspective so he fully understands their business and effectively advocates and negotiates for their best interests.
As an art enthusiast and community activist, Dan has spearheaded many community initiatives through Barclay Street and personally including music, film and festival sponsorships.
Kris joined Barclay Street in the spring of 2013 as an Associate for the Downtown Leasing team, became Associate Vice President in 2019 and Vice President in 2020.
Kris immigrated to Canada in 2004 from Shanghai, China. Kris has been gaining experience in various aspects of the real estate business to best guide and advise clients since 2007. He was engaged in operating a real estate consortium which specialized in property acquisition and sales. Kris was partnered with a team of investors to purchase properties for the purpose of improving and reselling them at a profit, and maximize cash flow rentals.
Real estate Investing is Kris's passion. Kris endeavours to provide his clients with meaningful solutions to their problems by developing a thorough understanding of their needs.
Outside of work, Kris enjoys regular boxing training, hiking during the summer and snowboarding during the winter. He is also an avid auto racing enthusiast.
Alex started with Barclay Street Real Estate as Condominium Manager in June 2019. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and operations of several residential condominium properties around the city.
Alex relocated from London, UK to Canada in 2015, and has since then worked within Property Management. Alex has landed a Property Administrator position with a Condominium Management company in 2015 and has within two years become Condominium Manager.
Alex holds a BA (Hons) in Linguistics and Communications, as well as, MA in Legal Translation from Kingston University, London, UK. She spent first years after graduation working in the UK, with Bank of America Financial Centre.
In Canada, after over 3 years within property management, Alex has managed all types of residential properties and is now looking at becoming a Certified Property Manager (CPM) candidate as well as an Accredited Resident Manager (ARM).
Allan Jones joined Barclay Street Real predecessor, Torode Realty, in 1987 after graduating from the University of Calgary with a degree in Economics. He became an original partner in February 2001 when Torode was sold to Barclay Street.
Allan specializes in downtown office leasing and has represented tenants/subtenants and landlords/sublandlords in over 2.8 million square feet of leasing transactions.
Although Allan deals with numerous large tenants in the marketplace, his specialty over the past 30 years is an Exclusive Listing Agent. He has listed dozens of downtown buildings and sublease assignments over the years with tremendous success. Allan has never lost a listing due to non-performance.
In his spare time, Allan enjoys spending time with his family and travelling. As an avid sports fan, Allan plays hockey in the winter and golf in the summer.
Steve Kuehner comes to Barclay Street with an extensive background in Marketing and Business Development within the Oil and Gas industry, Steve’s experience in Property Management was in 2001-2008 and has recently completed his Real Estate Licensing in Property Management. Steve comes to Barclay Street with a true Team attitude, asks lots of questions and his customer service expertise will take us places.
