As Barclay Street’s Vice President of Property Management, Dion works closely with the Property Management team to ensure the company’s portfolio is offered the highest level of service, efficiency and professionalism.
After completing his Bachelor of Arts degree with a minor in Business from the University of Calgary, Dion followed his passion of business and entered the real estate industry. Through the last 20 years, he has worked in a diverse spectrum of companies that gave him experience in commercial lending, property operations, real estate investment and asset management. For over 10 years, Dion worked with one of largest property investment companies in Canada which helped him develop a keen eye for identifying innovative revenue generation opportunities in his client’s properties while maximizing the return on their investment and ensuring strong tenant relations.
Throughout Calgary, Dion has managed over 1.3 million square feet and has worked with countless businesses which have helped him establish a strong tenant relations platform built on sound business practices. Dion’s belief is that by keeping tenants happy, landlords are ensuring tenant retention in a property and thereby reduce all costs and time associated with lease turnover. Working closely with the property management team at Barclay Street, Dion ensures the team provides clients with a unified service that stresses ethical business practices and strives to achieve optimal value and service for the company’s clients and their tenants.
As an outdoor enthusiast, Dion spends the summer months camping and hiking with his wife and family. He also likes to play recreational hockey whenever his schedule allows it.

In 1999, Tanya graduated from the Acadia University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Shortly after graduating, Tanya went to Stockholm, Sweden where she worked as a Strategic Marketing Manager for Ericsson Communications in for 3 years.
Upon returning to Canada in 2002, Tanya decided to follow in her family’s footsteps and began a career in the commercial real estate industry. She joined Barclay Street as a Downtown Leasing Associate and in a few short years, Tanya moved into a senior Vice President role and helps lead the Downtown Leasing team.
In 2006 Tanya was invited to become a partner at Barclay Street and has since enjoyed an active role in the company. Tanya has successfully represented a wide scope of tenants including local, national and international organizations from a variety of sectors. Tanya has experience across a number of industries including but not limited to energy, legal, nonprofit, environmental, IT and financial. Tanya has leased more than 2 million square feet in the core during her tenure with the Company.
With over a decade of experience and well-established relationships, Tanya has become a respected industry leader and featured in many media pieces throughout Alberta for her expertise and client-focused approach.
Outside of work, Tanya enjoys the outdoors and any activity it entails including biking and running.
Erik A.M. Dobrovolsky entered to Calgary commercial real estate market in 2012 as a downtown office leasing broker. In 2014 he left the downtown market to oversee the southern Alberta assets of a large, private industrial Landlord where he developed a passion for industrial real estate leasing and sales. Returning to brokerage with Barclay Street after competently stewarding the portfolio for several years, he brings a comprehensive understanding and skill set to his team.
Erik grew up in Edmonton, has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Vlerick Business School in Brussels, Belgium. After completing his masters degree Erik returned to Alberta, immediately entered the Calgary real estate market and has since been involved in leasing, acquisitions, dispositions and new construction activity.
Through Erik’s specialized experience, he has gained a wide-ranging understanding of both the Calgary market and the underlying issues facing both tenants and landlords. Erik’s experience and education allows him to provide extremely effective advice and due diligence consulting to all his clients.
Outside of the office, Erik is an executive with his rugby club and volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations. Erik has extensive overseas experience including interning with the World Wildlife Fund in Nepal and riding his bicycle from Cairo, Egypt to Cape Town, South Africa.
Since joining Barclay Street Real Estate in 1987, Bill Falagaris has become a respected leader among his clients, colleagues and fellow brokers and developed a reputation based on his professional and honourable approach to his clients and the business.
As a veteran Leasing Associate, Bill specializes in Downtown and Beltline areas in Calgary and has leased over 3 million square feet throughout his career. With a degree in Business from Mount Royal University and 30 years of client relation experience, Bill has a comprehensive understanding of inner workings of a business and how to find real estate solutions that will help a business prosper.
Over the years, Bill has gained extensive experience representing both the tenant and landlord in the leasing process. As a representative of landlords, Bill has acted as exclusive agent for a number of office buildings and successfully leased his listings to 100% occupancy. As a representative of tenants, Bill has assisted many clients with leasing negotiations for new spaces and for their existing premises so they reach an agreement that helps them achieve their real estate goals.
Outside of work, Bill is a family man at heart and spends much of his free time doing many activities with his family. He also is a sport and auto racing enthusiast.
With over 25 years of property management experience, Shirley Ganong offers her tenants and clients a high level of expertise and care. As a senior property manager of Barclay Street Real Estate, Shirley assists with overseeing all activities within the Property Management division.
Since starting her real estate career in 1990, Shirley has worked exclusively in property management and has acquired extensive knowledge in all aspects of the industry. Over the years, Shirley has managed a large variety of properties, including various sizes of retail, office, industrial, and commercial condominiums. Some of her current clients have been with her for over 20 years.
Doug Grinde began his commercial real estate career with Barclay Street Real Estate 20 years ago when he graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Since joining the company, Doug has become an invaluable asset working closely with the Calgary team and is now heading up the Edmonton office as the Vice President for the region.
With a farming background in rural Alberta, Doug knows what it means to work hard and treat people with integrity - his clients are no exception. Although his career started in Calgary, Doug found a niche for himself in Edmonton where his broad experience has helped reposition Barclay Street in the greater Edmonton market.
Additionally, as a senior sales advisor, Doug works closely with clients through the Alberta corridor and provides them with meaningful solutions while offering honest, knowledgeable advice. His knowledge comes from years of diverse transactions including new development projects, complex sale transactions and large leasing assignments.
Currently, Doug lives in Edmonton with his wife and 3 children where they are actively involved in the local equestrian community and taking part in a variety of outdoor activities.
With a strong business analysis background and 15 years in commercial real estate, Dan offers a full-service solution for his clients to meet all their real estate needs. With a client-centered approach Dan has become a recognized expert in the commercial real estate industry and has been featured in many media pieces for his knowledge and understanding of the local market.
After graduating in 1993 from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance, Dan worked in managerial positions in commercial lending at HSBC Bank of Canada in Calgary, Kingston and Toronto. Dan decided he could offer a greater value in business by switching to commercial real estate market and joined the Barclay Street team in 2001. In 2005 Dan was invited to become a partner at Barclay Street and has since enjoyed an active role in the company.
Dan has leased over 2.5 million square feet and sold over $100 million in real estate sales in over 600 transactions representing both tenant and landlords in many complex transactions. With the unique blend of commercial lending experience and real estate assignments, Dan offers his client’s a unique perspective so he fully understands their business and effectively advocates and negotiates for their best interests.
As an art enthusiast and community activist, Dan has spearheaded many community initiatives through Barclay Street and personally including music, film and festival sponsorships.
Kris joined Barclay Street in the spring of 2013 as an Associate for the Downtown Leasing team.
Kris immigrated to Canada in 2004 from Shanghai, China. Kris has been gaining experience in various aspects of the real estate business to best guide and advise clients since 2007. He was engaged in operating a real estate consortium which specialized in property acquisition and sales. Kris was partnered with a team of investors to purchase properties for the purpose of improving and reselling them at a profit, and maximize cash flow rentals.
Real estate Investing is Kris's passion. Kris endeavours to provide his clients with meaningful solutions to their problems by developing a thorough understanding of their needs.
Outside of work, Kris enjoys regular boxing training, hiking during the summer and snowboarding during the winter. He is also an avid auto racing enthusiast.
Kalinka has worked in Commercial Real Estate since 2001 in New York, Montreal and Calgary and prior to joining Barclay Street Real Estate was previously working for the City of Calgary as a negotiator in Sales and Commercial Leasing, and prior to that as a General Manager of the world largest global office space provider - Regus.
Kalinka believes in continuous learning and adding tools to the services she can provide clients when working on assignments. She received a degree in Hospitality Management from the AHMA in 1997, a RPA designation from BOMI International in 2013 and in 2016 she received the prestigious CCIM designation from the CCIM Institute in Chicago.
She has received many sales awards. As an accomplished manager, Kalinka played major roles in multiparty environments in the private and public sector, performing different aspects of market analysis, client and vendor relations and business development.
Kalinka is down to earth, assertive and persuasive. Her competitive nature, determination, resilience and drive to succeed makes Kalinka embrace change and establish a realistic perspective for her clients and negotiate for their best interest. In her spare time Kalinka enjoys spending time in nature or travelling with her husband and 2 daughters and expanding her multilingual capacity further.
Allan Jones joined Barclay Street Real predecessor, Torode Realty, in 1987 after graduating from the University of Calgary with a degree in Economics. He became an original partner in February 2001 when Torode was sold to Barclay Street.
Allan specializes in downtown office leasing and has represented tenants/subtenants and landlords/sublandlords in over 2.8 million square feet of leasing transactions.
Although Allan deals with numerous large tenants in the marketplace, his specialty over the past 30 years is an Exclusive Listing Agent. He has listed dozens of downtown buildings and sublease assignments over the years with tremendous success. Allan has never lost a listing due to non-performance.
In his spare time, Allan enjoys spending time with his family and travelling. As an avid sports fan, Allan plays hockey in the winter and golf in the summer.
Andrew joins Barclay Street Real Estate with a notable track record of providing clients with keen insights and growth and contraction recommendations as the Calgary market dictates. His ability to provide council stems from his skill and understanding of the planning, relocation and execution processes.
With more than 10 years of experience in Calgary’s Downtown market, Andrew has established a reputation as being transparent, diligent and an aggressive negotiator. His clients range from local start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, over a broad range of industries which include: Energy, IT Systems, Accounting, Engineering and Law firms.
When Andrew is not working, he is spending time pursuing his passion for the local mountains with friends and family. Also, Andrew enjoys to travel and is up for any new adventure.
Amy McGregor recently joined Barclay Street as an associate, specializing in tenant and landlord representation for retail space in the greater Calgary Area. Her wide range of commercial real estate experience gives Amy a comprehensive understanding of the leasing trends specific to the market and allows her to offer a greater depth of understanding and strategy to her clientele. Through her extensive contact network and expansion of her business activities, Amy can provide proactive services customized to market conditions, and locate opportunities addressing the specific needs of her clients.
Murray brings over 25 years of development in commercial property sales and leasing, build to suit and land development. Murray has perennially been a performer throughout his career, with Top Producer awards from both of his previous firms.
He entered business in 1987 after graduating in Economics at the University of Alberta and pursuing an athletic career, Murray has been actively involved in exclusive landlord/tenant representations, build to suit projects and land sales.
A long time Alberta family, Murray's many interests include his wife and 2 young children, the cottage and many sporting activities.
Jon Mook started his real estate career in 1998 and has built a reputation in Alberta based on integrity, professionalism and above all results. Throughout his career, Jon has headed over 700 transactions in the sales and leasing of industrial properties resulting in hundreds of satisfied clients.

Joining Barclay Street in June 2014, Chris Rundle began as a Research Analyst. His background in research and his understanding of the leasing industry propelled his successful transition to Associate with the Suburban and Beltline Office Leasing Team in January 2016. Chris’s educational background in Finance and Economics gives him an inordinate understanding of the transactional world of real estate and a succinct understanding of market trends. Chris’s primary focus is in Beltline and Suburban transactions and Tenant and Landlord representation. Casey Stuart has been in the Calgary real estate market for nearly 9 years and has negotiated over 275 industrial real estate transactions totaling over $300 million. As a Vice President on Barclay Street Real Estate’s Industrial team, Casey provides a high level of market intelligence to his clients and ensures they have all the tools they need to make educated decisions through the entire process.
Casey grew up in Saskatoon and attended the University of Saskatchewan where he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction and majored in Finance. After graduating, he entered the Calgary real estate market and has since transacted over 2.5 million sq. ft. of industrial space and played a key part in the sale of Alberta’s largest industrial building to transaction in 2011.

With an innovative leadership style and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, David has expanded Barclay Street Real Estate from a small local establishment with a handful of brokers to one of the most prominent and respected commercial real estate brokerage in Alberta.
David’s career started over 30 years ago in Israel where he owned a successful insurance brokerage company and was President and GM of his favorite professional basketball team. However, David saw bigger opportunities in his future when he, his wife and three children immigrated to Canada in 1999.
In 2000, David began his career in Canadian commercial real estate and was later invited to join a group of senior negotiators who bought an established real estate firm in 2001. In 2003, David assumed the leadership role of President with a rigorous business growth plan in mind and in 2004 the brokerage was rebranded under the name Barclay Street Real Estate.
In a few short years, David has made strides in growing Barclay Street locally and internationally. In 2007, David added Property Management to Barclay Street’s portfolio of services and the division has grown dramatically in the last few years with properties throughout Alberta.
To expand Barclay’s national and global reach, David formed a partnership in 2011 with TCN Worldwide, a real estate services organization that serves more than 200 markets globally. As a member of TCN Worldwide, Barclay Street has the ability to service their customers on a local and international level through a network of over 1200 commercial real estate firms. Since 2012, David brings his commercial real estate knowledge to the international stage as a board member on the TCN Worldwide Board and as the Regional Vice President of the Canadian Region.
On April 2013 David received his CCIM - Certified Commercial Investment Member designation.
David holds a strong belief that a company and individual are only as strong as the community and clients they serve.
