Jonathan is a customer-oriented professional that started in the industry over a decade ago.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan, he joined a brokerage that managed high-end, residential properties in executive preferred, Calgary neighbourhoods. Not only was Jonathan responsible for Leasing properties, he also managed the relationship with the Tenants for the term of the lease. As a part owner of the company, Jonathan moved into an operational position and grew the business in a highly competitive environment until it was purchased by new owners.

His small business experience combined with his ability to consistently meet the needs of his long-term clients made the move to Commercial Leasing a natural transition. Jonathan is now working with Dan Harmsen on the Office Leasing and Sales Team as a Licensed Associate.

Kelly has had a successful 30 year career in commercial real estate and brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and creativity to every deal. His success has been on a wide range of deal types and sizes, through many different economic cycles. His leadership, reputation and integrity are key factors contributing to his consistent success.
Kelly started his career in 1982 as Research Director for an international brokerage firm, moved to work with a national office building developer, then managed a real estate brokerage office for a major banking institution and then for the past 19 years has worked in investment sales of commercial real estate.
Kelly is the past President of Torode Realty Ltd. (Now Barclay Street) where he led the privatization and shareholder purchase of the firm. After serving as President for two years until February 2003 he has returned to selling full time. Kelly has lead significant fund raising events for various organizations, is on the Board of West Island College and active with his children’s competitive sporting endeavours in ski racing and golf.

Prior to joining Barclay Street, Andy Chan was a Leasing and Property Manager with the City of Edmonton where he negotiated lease agreements with the Province of Alberta, Edmonton Economic Development Corporation (EEDC), Edmonton Public Library, NAIT, HeadCount Corporation, Apex Engineering, and Graphene Leaders Canada, to name a few. A significant portion of his real estate portfolio included the leasing and property management of the Edmonton Research Park, a 243-acre campus for research and development facilities.
Additionally, he was a Property Assessor with the City of Edmonton and was involved with the mass appraisal of multi-family properties for property taxation purposes. He is familiar with municipal processes and policies, as well as the property assessment-taxation appeal processes.
Prior to entering the public real estate sector, Andy was in a junior sales role with DTZ Barnicke (Toronto), where he was involved with over 200,000 sq.ft. of office and industrial leasing, and 80,000 sq.ft. of office sales.
Andy Chan graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce and a specialization in Real Estate. Constantly looking to further his real estate skillset Andy has achieved various real estate professional designations including: Real Property Administrator (RPA), LEED AP, WELL AP, and Post Graduate Certificate in Property Valuation.

In 1999, Tanya graduated from the Acadia University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.  Shortly after graduating, Tanya went to Stockholm, Sweden where she worked as a Strategic Marketing Manager for Ericsson Communications in for 3 years.

Upon returning to Canada in 2002, Tanya decided to follow in her family’s footsteps and began a career in the commercial real estate industry. She joined Barclay Street as a Downtown Leasing Associate and in a few short years, Tanya moved into a senior Vice President role and helps lead the Downtown Leasing team. 

In 2006 Tanya was invited to become a partner at Barclay Street and has since enjoyed an active role in the company. Tanya has successfully represented a wide scope of tenants including local, national and international organizations from a variety of sectors. Tanya has experience across a number of industries including but not limited to energy, legal, nonprofit, environmental, IT and financial. Tanya has leased more than 2 million square feet in the core during her tenure with the Company.

With over a decade of experience and well-established relationships, Tanya has become a respected industry leader and featured in many media pieces throughout Alberta for her expertise and client-focused approach.

Erik A.M. Dobrovolsky entered to Calgary commercial real estate market in 2012 as a downtown office leasing broker. In 2014 he left the downtown market to oversee the southern Alberta assets of a large, private industrial Landlord where he developed a passion for industrial real estate leasing and sales. Returning to brokerage with Barclay Street after competently stewarding the portfolio for several years, he brings a comprehensive understanding and skill set to his team.

Erik grew up in Edmonton, has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Vlerick Business School in Brussels, Belgium.  After completing his masters degree Erik returned to Alberta, immediately entered the Calgary real estate market and has since been involved in leasing, acquisitions, dispositions and new construction activity.

Through Erik’s specialized experience, he has gained a wide-ranging understanding of both the Calgary market and the underlying issues facing both tenants and landlords. Erik’s experience and education allows him to provide extremely effective advice and due diligence consulting to all his clients.

Outside of the office, Erik is an executive with his rugby club and volunteers with several not-for-profit organizations. Erik has extensive overseas experience including interning with the World Wildlife Fund in Nepal and riding his bicycle from Cairo, Egypt to Cape Town, South Africa.

Since joining Barclay Street Real Estate in 1987, Bill Falagaris has become a respected leader among his clients, colleagues and fellow brokers and developed a reputation based on his professional and honourable approach to his clients and the business. 

As a veteran Leasing Associate, Bill specializes in Downtown and Beltline areas in Calgary and has leased over 3 million square feet throughout his career. With a degree in Business from Mount Royal University and 30 years of client relation experience, Bill has a comprehensive understanding of inner workings of a business and how to find real estate solutions that will help a business prosper.

Over the years, Bill has gained extensive experience representing both the tenant and landlord in the leasing process. As a representative of landlords, Bill has acted as exclusive agent for a number of office buildings and successfully leased his listings to 100% occupancy. With over 25 years of property management experience, Shirley Ganong offers her tenants and clients a high level of expertise and care. As a senior property manager of Barclay Street Real Estate, Shirley assists with overseeing all activities within the Property Management division.
Since starting her real estate career in 1990, Shirley has worked exclusively in property management and has acquired extensive knowledge in all aspects of the industry. Over the years, Shirley has managed a large variety of properties, including various sizes of retail, office, industrial, and commercial condominiums. Doug Grinde began his commercial real estate career with Barclay Street Real Estate 20 years ago when he graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Since joining the company, Doug has become an invaluable asset working closely with the Calgary team and is now heading up the Edmonton office as the Vice President for the region.
With a farming background in rural Alberta, Doug knows what it means to work hard and treat people with integrity - his clients are no exception. Although his career started in Calgary, Doug found a niche for himself in Edmonton where his broad experience has helped reposition Barclay Street in the greater Edmonton market.

With a strong business analysis background and 15 years in commercial real estate, Dan offers a full-service solution for his clients to meet all their real estate needs. With a client-centered approach Dan has become a recognized expert in the commercial real estate industry and has been featured in many media pieces for his knowledge and understanding of the local market.
After graduating in 1993 from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance, Dan worked in managerial positions in commercial lending at HSBC Bank of Canada in Calgary, Kingston and Toronto. Dan decided he could offer a greater value in business by switching to commercial real estate market and joined the Barclay Street team in 2001. Kris joined Barclay Street in the spring of 2013 as an Associate for the Downtown Leasing team.
Kris immigrated to Canada in 2004 from Shanghai, China. Kris has been gaining experience in various aspects of the real estate business to best guide and advise clients since 2007. He was engaged in operating a real estate consortium which specialized in property acquisition and sales. Kris was partnered with a team of investors to purchase properties for the purpose of improving and reselling them at a profit, and maximize cash flow rentals.

Allan Jones joined Barclay Street Real predecessor, Torode Realty, in 1987 after graduating from the University of Calgary with a degree in Economics. He became an original partner in February 2001 when Torode was sold to Barclay Street.

Allan specializes in downtown office leasing and has represented tenants/subtenants and landlords/sublandlords in over 2.8 million square feet of leasing transactions.

Although Allan deals with numerous large tenants in the marketplace, his specialty over the past 30 years is an Exclusive Listing Agent. He has listed dozens of downtown buildings and sublease assignments over the years with tremendous success. Allan has never lost a listing due to non-performance.

In his spare time, Allan enjoys spending time with his family and travelling. As an avid sports fan, Allan plays hockey in the winter and golf in the summer.

George Larson’s involvement with the Calgary commercial real estate market began in 1986 when he joined Barclay Street Real Estate’s predecessor as the General Sales Manager. Prior to joining the company George worked in banking and commercial lending services for 22 years, which included directing a financial institution as a General Manager. In 1991, George took on the responsibilities of a Senior Negotiator, which he continues to carry out today. He was also a member of the partnership group that acquired the brokerage from a public company in 2001. As a senior investment sales associate of the firm, George works closely with the Barclay Street Real Estate investment sales team to ensure maximum added value is provided to his clients. In his career, George has sold over $500 million in real estate properties. George’s areas of specialization have been the mid-size retail and office sectors in Calgary and Edmonton with properties in an approximate range of $5 to $25 Million. He travels monthly to major Canadian cities to meet clients and attends ICSC conferences and other real estate forums. In his career, he has successfully represented, as exclusive agent, many of Canada’s leading private and institutional investors in their acquisition and divestiture activity in the Alberta market. Casey Stuart has been in the Calgary real estate market since 2008 and has negotiated over 275 industrial real estate transactions totaling over $300 million. As a Vice President on Barclay Street Real Estate’s Industrial team, Casey provides a high level of market intelligence to his clients and ensures they have all the tools they need to make educated decisions through the entire process.

Casey grew up in Saskatoon and attended the University of Saskatchewan where he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree with Distinction and majored in Finance. After graduating, he entered the Calgary real estate market and has since transacted over 2.5 million sq. ft. of industrial space and played a key part in the sale of Alberta’s largest industrial building to transaction in 2011.

As a local industrial expert, Casey has gained a comprehensive understanding of the Calgary landscape through a lot of hard work, and can efficiently assist Barclay Street’s clients with a broad range of services. With extensive experience in both sale and lease transactions, Casey has successfully represented both tenants and landlords in leasing  negotiations, coordinated facility and land acquisitions, and provided guidance during the due diligence process.

When not in the office, Casey enjoys getting outside and exploring new adventures with friends and family, particularly snowboarding and snowmobiling in the winter, and travelling to new destinations in the summer. He enjoys playing basketball and golf whenever possible.

With an innovative leadership style and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, David has expanded Barclay Street Real Estate from a small local establishment with a handful of brokers to one of the most prominent and respected commercial real estate brokerage in Alberta.

David’s career started over 30 years ago in Israel where he owned a successful insurance brokerage company and was President and GM of his favorite professional basketball team. However, David saw bigger opportunities in his future when he, his wife and three children immigrated to Canada in 1999.

In 2000, David began his career in Canadian commercial real estate and was later invited to join a group of senior negotiators who bought an established real estate firm in 2001. In 2003, David assumed the leadership role of President with a rigorous business growth plan in mind and in 2004 the brokerage was rebranded under the name Barclay Street Real Estate.

In a few short years, David has made strides in growing Barclay Street locally and internationally. In 2007, David added Property Management to Barclay Street’s portfolio of services and the division has grown dramatically in the last few years with properties throughout Alberta.

To expand Barclay’s national and global reach, David formed a partnership in 2011 with TCN Worldwide, a real estate services organization that serves more than 200 markets globally. As a member of TCN Worldwide, Barclay Street has the ability to service their customers on a local and international level through a network of over 1200 commercial real estate firms. Since 2012, David brings his commercial real estate knowledge to the international stage as a board member on the TCN Worldwide Board and as the Regional Vice President of the Canadian Region.

On April 2013 David received his CCIM - Certified Commercial Investment Member designation.

David holds a strong belief that a company and individual are only as strong as the community and clients they serve.
