Pat Farrell has worked in a variety of buildings in the downtown core and beltline and has accumulated 25 years of experience in the field of maintenance and operations.

Pat joined Barclay Street Real Estate in 2008.  As the Building Operations Manager of the HSBC Building, he oversees all maintenance and management of the building and assists with other properties as required. He graduated from the Southern Institute of Technology and holds a 5th class Engineer's Certificate.

Shayla joined Barclay Street in 2019. She brings with her 11 years of administrative and customer service experience and has a paralegal background. In her role as the Investment Sales Administrative Assistant she manages our exclusive listings, databases and marketing packages for our clients.
Prior to joining Barclay Street, Shayla worked in residential real estate for over 5 years. After helping to establish and build a real estate team out of a brokerage in Airdrie, she fell in love with real estate and is working now towards obtaining a Commercial Real Estate License.
Shayla loves spending time with her son, fiancé and friends. You will find her playing with her dogs in the park, going to the movies, enjoying the outdoors at her cabin in Saskatchewan or exploring new places. Did you know that Shayla was an actress and singer in Los Angeles as well? Outgoing and energetic, Shayla became an invaluable addition to Barclay Street.

As Vice President of the Property Management Division and with almost 30 years of property management experience, Shirley offers her clients and tenants a high level of expertise and care.
Since starting her real estate career in 1990, Shirley has worked exclusively in property management and has acquired extensive knowledge in all aspects of the industry. Shirley has managed a large variety of properties over the years, including various sizes of retail, office, industrial, and commercial condominiums. Some of her current clients have been with her for over 25 years.
Shirley is a native Calgarian and in her spare time she enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, and is an avid Calgary Stampeders fan.

Joshua Gill joined Barclay Street in November 2018 and brings a strong customer service approach to Real Estate, based on past retail experience. Prior to entering commercial real estate, Joshua moved up the ranks from sales and managed a sign shop from 2016 to 2017 which inspired his love for architecture and buildings.

He believes in cultivating and building relationships with his clients and being readily at-hand to guide them through every part of the sale or leasing process. Emily graduated from The University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in August 2018. She joined Barclay Street Real Estate in October 2018 as a Leasing and Sales Assistant in the Industrial division and obtained her commercial real estate license in February 2019.
Emily completed two cooperative work terms with Barclay Street Real Estate’s Industrial division throughout her undergraduate degree, which helped her to identify a strong desire for working in the commercial real estate industry. She enjoys the dynamic nature of the industry and working with a strong knowledgeable team that operates on integrity.
Emily completed a four-month exchange semester in Saint-Etienne, France in the fall of 2017, where she experienced a culture completely different from her own. This experience increased her awareness of her surroundings and has contributed to her passion and love for traveling the world. She has since traveled to South-East Asia and looks forward to more trips in the future.

Doug Grinde began his commercial real estate career with Barclay Street Real Estate 20 years ago when he graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Since joining the company, Doug has become an invaluable asset working closely with the Calgary team and is now heading up the Edmonton office as the Vice President for the region.
With a farming background in rural Alberta, Doug knows what it means to work hard and treat people with integrity - his clients are no exception. Although his career started in Calgary, Doug found a niche for himself in Edmonton where his broad experience has helped reposition Barclay Street in the greater Edmonton market.
Additionally, as a senior sales advisor, Doug works closely with clients through the Alberta corridor and provides them with meaningful solutions while offering honest, knowledgeable advice. His knowledge comes from years of diverse transactions including new development projects, complex sale transactions and large leasing assignments.

February 2015, Cassandra joined the Barclay Street Team in the capacity of Administrative Assistant. Her primary focus in database management and broker support encouraged her transition to the Suburban and Beltline Office Leasing Team.

Cassandra received her Commerical Real Estate license and became Leasing Associate in 2019. With a BBA in Marketing and General Management and a minor in Financial Services, Cassandra brings a breadth of perspective and outside-the-box thinking to the team. As a Leasing Associate, Cassandra’s primary efforts are creating a branding and marketing strategy for her team, providing support in documentation execution and focusing on Landlord representation.

With a strong business analysis background and 15 years in commercial real estate, Dan offers a full-service solution for his clients to meet all their real estate needs. With a client-centered approach Dan has become a recognized expert in the commercial real estate industry and has been featured in many media pieces for his knowledge and understanding of the local market.
After graduating in 1993 from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance, Dan worked in managerial positions in commercial lending at HSBC Bank of Canada in Calgary, Kingston and Toronto. Dan decided he could offer a greater value in business by switching to commercial real estate market and joined the Barclay Street team in 2001. In 2005 Dan was invited to become a partner at Barclay Street and has since enjoyed an active role in the company.
Dan has leased over 2.5 million square feet and sold over $100 million in real estate sales in over 600 transactions representing both tenant and landlords in many complex transactions. With the unique blend of commercial lending experience and real estate assignments, Dan offers his client’s a unique perspective so he fully understands their business and effectively advocates and negotiates for their best interests.
As an art enthusiast and community activist, Dan has spearheaded many community initiatives through Barclay Street and personally including music, film and festival sponsorships.

Having spent her whole life in Red Deer, Alberta and just recently moving to Calgary, Dakoda joined Barclay Street Real Estate at the end of August 2019. Dakoda has worked in many sectors of customer service industry for over 11 years. Dakoda’s warm and welcoming attitude makes her the perfect fit for Barclay Street Real Estate. Some of Dakoda’s hobbies include painting, drawing and pottery. She also loves to cook (but her roommate say’s she doesn’t share) and tries to experiment in the kitchen as much as possible because food is her jam. Dakoda loves her family and is very close with them. She is a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky girl who enjoys the little things in life and just wants to have fun along the way.
