Akam Minhas is the Director of Research at Barclay Street Real Estate, where he leads the development of market intelligence and research insights to support clients and internal teams across Calgary’s commercial real estate landscape. He brings a strong foundation in financial analysis, economics, and data-driven storytelling to this role.

Prior to joining Barclay Street, he developed analytical skills through hands-on experience in investment research and financial analysis, including work with the Mount Royal Investment Club as both a Junior and Senior Analyst.

He is a graduate of Mount Royal University’s BBA program in Finance with a Minor in Economics and is passionate about blending critical thinking with practical solutions to uncover meaningful trends and opportunities in the market.

Outside of work, he is an avid sports enthusiast with a particular interest in golf and hockey, and finds balance through sim racing — a pursuit that reflects the same focus and level of attention to detail he brings to the office everyday.
